As an empathetic and intuitive practitioner, I work with children, adolescents and adults, helping them to grow through what they go through. I assist my clients in facing challenges with a new found strength and supporting them to understand with growth comes discomfort. Sessions are conducted in a relaxed, non-judgemental environment that allows clients to share feelings, release stress, co-create action steps and help to create more satisfying and fulfilling lives. Together, we work to discover an individualized action plan to minimize self doubt and maximize personal success, ultimately creating a happier and healthier you.
I received my Masters in Social Work from Fordham University in 2008 and received training in psychoanalytic theory from the Training Institute for Mental Health in NYC. In 2015 I worked under the direction of Dr. Myra Weiss, studying Mindfulness Meditation, a way of paying attention that originated in Eastern meditation practices. I also received my certification in Applied Positive Psychology in 2016 and my certification in Positive Psychology based coaching in 2018, both through the Flourishing Center in NYC. I currently provide workshops for small groups, organizations and corporations, teaching the principles of Positive Psychology- a branch of psychology that uses scientific understanding and effective intervention to aid in achievement of a satisfactory life.
Prior to opening my practice full-time, I was the Clinical Director at LearningSpring School in Manhattan for eight years. LearningSpring School is designed for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, grades K-8. Throughout my extensive work with children and families, I saw first hand the tremendous impact the diagnosis had on the entire family unit. It was through this work that I realized my true calling in life was to help people to work towards achieving their greatest potential, no matter what life may have in store for them.
